K. Jeremy Ko, Ph.D., is the Founder and CEO of ShoreUp Retirement Solutions, bringing over twenty years of experience in personal finance across academic, regulatory, and industry settings. He is recognized as an expert in consumer and behavioral finance, with a focus on applying technology and data-driven insights to improve retirement planning outcomes. At ShoreUp, he develops and deploys predictive models that estimate lifespan, long-term care needs, and retirement income projections to help individuals and couples make informed financial decisions.
His previous roles include senior economist at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, assistant professor of finance at Penn State University’s Smeal School of Business, and leadership positions at leading AI-based consumer lending and robo-advisory investment firms. He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and a B.A. in Physics from Harvard University.
